How fast can you get to me?

That depends on where you are and what is on the road. Memphis Core and the closer Shelby suburbs are usually on the faster end. DeSoto County, MS and West Memphis, AR take longer depending on distance and traffic, and Piperton and Atoka out on the county edges run similarly. Both river crossings, the Hernando de Soto Bridge (I-40) and the Memphis & Arkansas Bridge (I-55), run with no shoulder refuge mid-span, and both carry heavy interstate-truck volume around the clock. In 2021, a cracked tie-girder shut the Hernando de Soto Bridge for nearly three months and rerouted the entire load onto the Memphis & Arkansas Bridge, a real reminder of how little margin these crossings have. TDOT's HELP patrol covers both bridge approaches (Monday through Sunday, 6am to 8:30pm) for a flat change or a jump, but it does not tow, and it does not run overnight. Stay in the vehicle with your seatbelt on and hazards flashing, and call us for the tow itself.

For a highway incident with police already on scene, the operator follows standard scene protocol. For a private call on the shoulder, we dispatch directly.
